What are "estate sale conditions"?
It's a great way to keep track of specific problems you've encountered during the estate sale process. It'a also a great way to formally document them and provide your client with your findings anytime.
Examples:
- A window has been broken during an overnight storm
- You discovered a crack in the shade of a valuable antique lamp
- that valuable "mint condition" Teddy bear the family told you about is missing an eye
- The boxes in the attic filled with vintage toys that were all ruined by mouse activity
- a back door that won't lock properly
- a sculpture the family thinks is worth thousands but you found is worth perhaps $200
- A piece of loose carpet which would be a hazard for your buyers.
You can easily document these items with a full textual description, along with up to 3 photos for each situation. For cases where there is a value dispute, your photos can be screenshots of actual sold prices you've found. It's a great way to help make sure you're covered should a client have any dispute over something in the estate.
Typically, such items are not an issue for most estates. But if you feel that if may make business sense to formally track and document these issues, this may be of significant help for you!
Estate Sale Condition tracking is an option you can purchase for this estate sale.
